As a dance fan, nothing excites me more than discovering a new, young dance star to follow. Dance was everything to me as a kid, and to see others feel that same passion brings me back to one of the most enjoyable times in my life. With that being said, do yourself a favor and look up Artyon Celestine on YouTube. At the young age of 11, Celestine is already taking the dance world by storm.

Celestine’s love of the arts began at age 2 when he started to train in gymnastics. He quickly developed a dream of being an Olympic gymnast, and, to enhance his gymnastics training, his parents enrolled him in dance at age 4. Not long after his dance journey began, Celestine’s career began to take shape.

After several years of training, Celestine met Paige Glenn in 2015 while both dancers were trying out at a local studio. They formed a fast friendship and their chemistry led them to also form a dynamic dancing duo. The pair has won several competition titles in their short career together, and they are also successful individually.

In 2016, Celestine saw a huge boost in his professional career. He was featured on the show Little Big Shots with Steve Harvey performing a dance routine that showcased his artistry and gymnastic ability. Additionally, he performed on Ellen, where he expressed his Olympic dream to Ellen DeGeneres and she treated him and his family to a trip to watch the Olympic trials. Celestine was also one of 49 young dancers cast in Sia’s powerful video for her single “The Greatest.”

The breaks kept on coming for Celestine in 2017! He was cast as a dancer in the “Short Squad” on Nickelodeon’s Lip Sync Battle Shorties, which is a kid version of the original Lip Sync Battle on Spike. To take his career to the next level, Celestine then auditioned for America’s Got Talent (AGT) with his partner Glenn. They made a name for themselves with numerous viral performances and a quarterfinals finish. After their stint on AGT, the dancers were invited on Harry Connick Jr.’s show Harry and participated in the “Show Us What Got” segment by performing a hard-hitting hip-hop routine.

Today, the dancing duo of Celestine and Glenn, both from southern California, train at Academy of Ballet Arts in Murrieta, CA; Murrieta Dance Project in Murrieta, CA; and ImmaBEAST in L.A. Both dancers are trained in multiple genres and aspire to work with artists such as Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars. Earlier this year, they added another title to their dance resume when their piece to “Tale as Old as Time” from Beauty & the Beast won first prize at the Murrieta Dance Project Competition.

Most recently, Celestine was cast as the part of Richie in the television special A Christmas Story Live! Many media outlets praised his performance and claimed that he was on his way to full stardom! So, if you have a free minute today and need a smile, definitely Google the name Artyon Celestine and you will be amazed at this young dancer’s accomplishments.
